Black necked crane festival is annual festival which is held at Courtyard of Gangtey Goenpa in Phobjikha valley in Wangdue Phodrang district. It is held on 11th November every year coinciding with birth anniversary of His Majesty, 4th King of Bhutan, Jigme Singye Wangchuck.

First it was held in 11th November, 1998 at Phobjikha Valley near old school. This festival is initiated by Royal Society for Protection of Nature (RSPN) as a part of Integrated Conservation & Development Program (ICDP).
