Druk air Flight Timing:

Due to geographical location and operating challenges out of Paro International Airport in Bhutan that is severely dependent on weather conditions Drukair makes every effort to maintain the schedule integrity. However due to circumstances beyond our control, schedule timings are subject to change without prior notice. Therefore, travelers are requested to check with Druk air offices or its agents for the latest information.

Reservation:

For all travel requirements, please contact the nearest Drukair office or any agent in Bhutan. Tickets issued against full fare are valid for a period of one year, except as otherwise provided in the ticket.

Change in Fare and Taxes:

Fares and taxes are subject to change without notice. In the event of a passenger commencing journey after a revised tariff becomes effective, the difference between the fare paid and the fare applicable will be collected from the passenger before embarkation.

Check in Information:

Reporting time for your flight is two hours prior to flight departure. All counters will close thirty minutes prior to schedule departure of the flight. However, check –in counters in Delhi will open three hours before departure and counters will close one hour prior to schedule flight departure.

Itinerary receipt and travel documents must be presented at the time of check-in. For all travelers, it is the ticket holder’s responsibility to ensure that all required visas have been obtained and presented at the time of check-in. The carrier reserves the right to refuse carriage to a passenger who fails to present the necessary travel documents. Time shown on the itinerary receipt is the departure time of the aircraft. If credit card is used for purchase of this electronic ticket, the credit card must be presented at the time of check-in.

Baggage:

The weight concept is applied to all areas. A checked baggage allowance of 30 Kgs in business class and 25 Kgs in economy class is permissible. An infant under 2 years of age and not occupying a seat is not entitled to baggage allowance.

Travel Tips

All passengers are advised to maintain a minimum of 24 hours connection time to avoid misconnections due to weather which is one of the major causes for misconnection.

All passengers are advised to maintain flexible tickets on connection Carriers. As per the notice circulated by Thai Immigration Office to all airlines, visa on arrival for passengers holding one-way or open ticket will not be extended. Therefore, such passengers are advised to obtain necessary visa prior from the concerned diplomatic representations abroad to avoid being inconvenienced and deported. All transit passengers are requested to observe the following procedures pertaining to transit check-in.

Passengers can check in on Drukair flights on transit at Bangkok without having to go through immigration. The process is as follows:

Outbound Flights- Out of Paro

  1. To kindly inform the check in counter at Paro on details of the onward flight.
  2. Baggage will then be tagged as transit showing final destination of the passenger on the onward carrier.
  3. All the transit check in at Bangkok passengers are requested to present their baggage tag to the transit desk.
  4. The boarding pass is issued on the onward carrier and the baggage transferred.

Meals and Refreshment

Drukair offers multi-cuisine menu on board. Bangkok in-flight services, Paro Catering and Taj Group provide most of our in-flight catering.

Meals are served after a flight is airbone for reasonable duration. The timings are:

  • Breakfast: 07:30 – 10:30
  • Lunch: 10:30 – 14:30
  • Dinner: 18:30 – 21:30

Customs: Tourist Allowance

As per the Chapter 3 Section 8 of the Tobacco Control Rules and Regulations 2016, permissible quantity and type for importation for personal consumption is as follows:

  • 800 sticks of cigarettes; or
  • 150 pieces of cigar; or
  • 750 grams of other tobacco or tobacco products.

The above import is subjected to payment of 100% Customs Duty and 100% sales Tax, any excess in quantity shall be confiscated.
